Well anyways, I have been seeing portfolios with a more minimalistic design, more like a monochrome theme. My friend kiddo, who finally published her blog after a year of planning, inspired me to redesign my portfolio with a more minimalistic and monochrome design.
The first rough sketch of the website with a minimalistic theme (black and white) felt nice, but not me. Something was missing. Then I thought of something. I have always been obsessed with the font from Wimpy Kid (my childhood favorite series, read almost every edition, you can ask my high school friends... you will never find them lol). I also thought the theme of Wimpy Kid, I must say, is very minimalistic. I guess the fellow wasn't much of a designer like myself, so he kept things simple, which I am doing. Plus I am not really here to impress y'all or make a false impression. I am very much of a learner myself, one who wonders if she will ever get a break from all this AI talk and updates. But funny enough, ML interests me more than traditional SWE stuff. And no, I'm not saying that to feel relevant by talking about AI, which I know is the current currency. Just being honest.
Now enough of the long talk. I know most fellas my age have short attention spans, so I wouldn't stress you all further. The main point is: DON'T COPY ME. I mean, this can serve as an inspiration, but let it unlock an inner you that might be hidden somewhere. I am sure you would cook up something even better. Oh, and I designed all of this in pencil.dev, no gatekeeping here. I drew my inspiration from a book I was given as a gift by an aunt abroad, one I cherished through my pre-teen and teenage years (I was also addicted to the smell of the book, can't explain it). I still read the Wimpy series whenever I get the chance. In all the hustle and bustle of life, I never want to lose touch with things that make me genuinely happy. I hope you don't too, kiddy reading this.
